New pictures of Robert Pattinson winning BRAVO Otto award + translated article (Germany)

Translation:
“I remember this award very well, and I remember getting it for the first time”, says the 26-year-old happily. “It was in Munich and a lot of our fans were there.” It’s a pity that all those fans can’t also be here, today, when I hand over Rob his second award in the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills ($450 per night). I immediately notice: he doesn’t feign his happiness, it’s real. Rob is all smiles and presses the little Golden Indian to his chest. “If you win a prize that was given by fans, that’s the greatest thing”, he says happily.
Then he notices a second Golden Otto on the table. “Who gets this one?”, he ask wonderingly. Rob doesn’t know that his girlfriend and cast mate also left all the competition behind and was voted Best Actress of the Year… When he notices the engraving saying ‘Golden-Otto Winner Kristen Stewart’ he is completely speechless. “Wow, Kristen won as well? That’s really cool! She’ll be really happy about that!”
He’s right. Only a couple of minutes later I surprise Kristen with her award. And the tiny, usually very shy young girl, gets all excited. “It’s really heavy”, she says and laughs. And then, all of a sudden, she becomes sentimental: “Please tell my German fans that I’m so proud of this award. It means a lot to me, if they like what I so hardly work for on the set.” And the 22-year-old has another surprise: “We’ll probably be visiting Germany in the fall, for the premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2.”

Robert Pattinson heading to film new movie The Rover in South Australian Outback

The actor, who has a mass worldwide fan base thanks to The Twilight Saga films, will play a thief in the Outback in Animal Kingdom director David Michod’s futuristic western The Rover.
Guy Pearce has also been confirmed for the shoot, which will start in South Australia in late January next year.
Michod and producer Liz Watts scouted locations across SA, including the Flinders Ranges, earlier this month.
Flinders Ranges Mayor Peter Slattery said it would be a treat if Pattinson were in the region during the seven-week on-location shoot. Another two weeks will be shot at the Adelaide Studios.
“I daresay it would induce a bit of excitement in the area,” he said. “The spin-off effect is that the attention on them cross-promotes the area that we’re in. We certainly would be most enthused about him coming.”
Pattinson will have the choice of SA’s best Outback hospitality, from Wilpena Pound, luxury homestead Arkaba Station and Rawnsley Park Luxury Eco Villas to iconic tourist destination the Prairie Hotel in Parachilna.
The South Australian Film Corp has invested $450,000 in the project, which was approved in the latest round of Screen Australia funding.
The Rover’s overall funding budget is $12,250,000.

The Rover gets greenlight

Press release (Source/Via)

Screen Australia has announced almost $20 million investment in a diverse slate of feature films, adult television drama projects and children’s television series. The investment in 12 projects will trigger $100 million in production.

Features approved include The Rover, a futuristic Western from the producer and writer/director of Animal Kingdom, Liz Watts and David Michôd. Michôd will join Watts and David Linde (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as a producer. The film’s cast includes world-class acting talents Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce.

Screen Australia’s Chief Executive Ruth Harley said, “These four highly engaging and diverse Australian stories have huge potential. The Rover is a powerful well-crafted script from a talented team with an impressive cast. And then he has his last possession stolen by a gang of dangerous criminals. Eric sets off on a ruthless mission to track them down, forced along the way to enlist the help of Rey, the naïve and injured junior member of the gang, who was left behind in the bloody chaos of the gang’s most recent robbery.

From THR
SYDNEY -- On the day everyone learned that his girlfriend Kristen Stewart had strayed, Robert Pattinson's new starring role was given the greenlight.

Screen Australia said it will provide production financing for a previously announced Australian feature film project, The Rover, from Animal Kingdom writer-director David Michod. The Twilight star and Guy Pearce are both attached.

Set in the Australian desert, the futuristic western tells the story of Eric, who has left everything, everyone and every semblance of human kindness behind him, as he’s forced to join an injured gang member, Rey, to hunt down Rey’s gang after they steal the last of Eric’s possessions.

The Rover is produced by Porchlight Films in association with Los Angeles-based Lava Bear Films, with Liz Watts, David Linde and Michod producing. Film Nation will handle international sales, and Roadshow Films will be the Australian distributor.
The Rover is one of four features, four adult TV dramas and four kids TV series to receive $20 million of production funding from agency Screen Australia, triggering more than $100 million worth of production here.

His fans were very excited when Robert Pattinson visited Berlin a few weeks ago. The actor wasn't here to promote his role of the vampire in "Twilight", but to present David Cronenberg's film adaptation of Don DeLillo's "Cosmopolis".
We spoke with the Englishman about his old and new roles and also about his best and worst moments of last year.

INTERVIEW: Mr. Pattinson, your hair has gotten longer again. You had your hair cut into a buzz cut back then. Was it for your role in "Cosmopolis" or "Bel Ami?"

Mackenzie Foy talks BD2, Rob and Kristen

Photobucket

TwilightPoison I'd really like to know what you learned about acting from the other cast members that you got to work with?
Mackenzie Foy: Well, I learned the most by watching them because they would be themselves and then they would become the character that they become.

Is there one thing that you learned by watching one person in particular, that you took in and thought “I want to be able to do that”?
M: There’s some cool stunts that everyone did, there’s a couple of flips and I thought that was very cool.

Now, on the press conference you mentioned the swear jar… Who was the biggest offender?
M: Like I said, I don’t want anybody else to get in trouble! (laughs)

Is there anybody who didn’t have to put any quarters in the swear jar?
M: Um… Stephenie (Meyer), Taylor (Lautner), Noel (Fisher), Dr. Guri (Weinberg), and there were some other people like Miss Tracey (Heggins), Miss Judi (Shekoni). Most of the Cullen guys. They didn’t say any swear words. Oh! And Miss Ashley (Greene). She didn’t say any.

What was your first time meeting, Taylor, Kristen and Rob like?
M: Well I met Kristen and Rob in the hair and make up trailer, and I think the first time I met Taylor was… in the first scene actually.

Who was the biggest prankster on set? Or the biggest jokester?
M: Rob was pretty funny. He had some pretty funny jokes.

He made you laugh a lot?
M: Yes. And Mr. Guri, he was really funny too.

When you wrapped up did they show up for your last scene?M: Yeah, it was just me and Kristen.
You were the final two?
M: Yes.

But the rest of the crew probably showed up right? “That’s a wrap on Mackenzie”!M: The crew was there and the visual effects guy and all that stuff, because it had to do with the wolves. All the other cast, they weren’t wrapped yet, they just had the day off so it was just me and Kristen. It was nice.
